2 Corinthians 5:17/“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come”

Ephesians 4:22-24/“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Romans 6:4/“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

As you may have noticed, not only is it a new year but the God Gold of the Day page has got a new look!! Big THANKS to a great friend giving me some new logos for Christmas! It’s awesome how on this mission with Christ to spread His truth in whatever way we can, He places so much support and love around us to keep us moving forward on this adventure with Him! I’m completely humbled to send these messages out everyday and watch the Lord work through them. To kick off all the “new new” going on, thought I’d share some Scripture that reminds us of the new life we have in Christ. From the first moment of professing His name as our Lord and Savior, Christ raises us into a new life as One with Him, a life with Him that changes everything about our old life in the flesh without Him. The cool thing is that I so often forget, this new life with Christ doesn’t just start one day when we pass away from this world and join Him, eternity starts here and now! He’s given us life here with Him, the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit residing inside of each believer, life with Him compared to the old life; from hopelessness to hope, from impossible to sooo possible, from weak to powerful, from despair to peace and joy, this is what happens when we begin our new lives with Christ. The old person we used to be and live life off what we had doesn’t have to be anymore, Christ has laid down our old life and now we begin anew with Him. I don’t know about you but the days I’ve lived off what I got never ended up too great, days living defeated. The struggle now comes with laying that old weak life to rest and embracing the LIFE of freedom and victory over anything the world throws in our path today and everyday. I pray the Lord teaches us how to put away our old self and put on the fresh, unlimited life we have with Him!!!
