Good morning God Gold family! Hope you are having an awesome day! I’m super excited to share with you a new theme for upcoming Mondays, the focus will be “meditation.”

No, I’m not talking like taking really deep breaths or doing some kind of legs crossed apple sauce pose, but it’s not far off! By mediation I simply mean taking time to meditate on Gods Word. Sounds super simple to do but you know as well as I do that we make that easy task a lot more difficult than it has to be. As much of a struggle as this has been for me to really spend time meditating on Gods Word, letting it sink in throughout the day, while the truth of His Word is made clear to us and seeing ways that this truth can be applied to our lives. That’s a lot harder than it sounds but it’s a practice that God calls us to make a discipline in our lives because there is nothing that will fuel us for what God has in store more than His powerful and life-changing Word.

The plan is to give you a verse, just one verse because I know for me I struggle enough to remember one much less trying to meditate on a whole chapter. So one verse will be given and the challenge is to meditate on it. And I don’t mean, just read it once, think about it for a moment then move on to the next part of your day. I’m talking about really chewing on this Word, chewing on it so much that by the end of the day, you should be able to answer the question, “what truth did I study this morning?” That question is a perfect test to see how well you’ve mediated on the truth laid before you that day. Now if you can’t answer that question, then the answer is simple, we didn’t mediate on that truth like we should have!

I’m here to challenge you in this because it’s something I’m challenging myself with also! I figured if I’m struggling with being still and taking in Gods Word then maybe there’s a few more people or heck, maybe a lot of people fighting that same battle! So I pray that this new Monday mediation is a huge encouragement to you and strengthens your faith more than ever!

Also, I won’t be writing any of my thoughts on the verse for you on these days! It’s just going to be laid out there for you to find the truth for yourself and find what it means, and looks like in your own life! I will add in from time to time different Bible study techniques or lessons I’ve learned that helps me because studying Gods Word is t always easy, but man is it worth it! So I pray I can be an aid to you in some way with studying Scripture because the more you grow in Gods Gold, the more Gold will be displayed for this world around us to see and that’s what this life is all about!
