The Medlin’s Gold: “Delivery of Bread”

God Gold of the day

“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭

We are all guilty of seeking out something other than Jesus. the coolest about this life is that we were each created to have a relationship with God. But sometimes we fill that need with other temporary things. You may be seeking out something temporary to fill the void that only God can fill. Some may have chosen to run to drugs, sex, alcohol, etc. to fill a space of loneliness. It might be sports, work, money, or music, that we tend to make an idol before God. We sometimes even replace Him completely with these things!

The biggest lesson I have learned in life is to let Jesus saturate all pieces of my heart. We have to daily ask for grace because there will
be days that we fail at this completely. The Lord promises us so much in this verse. That we will not go hungry or thirsty if we believe in Him. How many times a day do you think about eating or drinking because your belly is rumbling and your mouth is parched? Just imagine the feeling of a full belly?! Imagine a full heart. No voids. So much hope found in the one who has the power to raise the dead and move mountains! You have access to this never ending power. Believe in The Lord Jesus Christ. Our deepest hunger and thirst will only be fulfilled by Jesus. Run to him, the giver of true bread and most of all LIFE that is eternal.

Thank you Jesus for filling our hearts. For the hope you give us. Thank you for the home that is ultimately with you in heaven. We aren’t there yet! We can’t wait for the day to be in your beautiful presence!

24 year old dude with not a clue what he's doing but God's grace continues to amaze me! Current Seminary student, avid adventure seeker, and getting married to the most humble, weird, and beautiful girl on the planet! Wasted a lot of years living what I thought was the "good life", then Christ showed me what living really is. I pray that my story can somehow help in whatever way possible, to give encouragement and hope that Christ can do the same with you.
