Son-day Surprise

God Gold of the Day

Wanted to share some more AWESOME worship with you as you get your Sunday started! Just a thought to think about as you spend your Sunday and go throughout your week, think about the GOODNESS OF GOD!!!! Take notice of all those areas in your life where you can see the goodness of God, in your past, today, your future, God has His goodness all over our lives. As easy as it can be in this world to quickly forget about all of His goodness, just keep that a constant reminder this week. Let it be what picks you up when you’re feeling down, what pushes you forward when you feel like you can’t go anymore, and what fills you up when you feel so empty!!! Have a great week!!!

24 year old dude with not a clue what he's doing but God's grace continues to amaze me! Current Seminary student, avid adventure seeker, and getting married to the most humble, weird, and beautiful girl on the planet! Wasted a lot of years living what I thought was the "good life", then Christ showed me what living really is. I pray that my story can somehow help in whatever way possible, to give encouragement and hope that Christ can do the same with you.

  1. I distinctly remember one night in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. We stayed at a campground for a few days but had run out of money to stay there. We packed our gear and moved to a picnic table at a nearby park. The sign said you couldn’t sleep at night there so we were stuck, and tired.

We stayed up all night, praying and hoping the police wouldn’t harass us…again. They did drive around early in the morning, while it was still dark, but they only wanted to know if we had seen a lost woman (we later found out she committed suicide). By dawn we were all really tired. My daughters did manage to lay their heads on the table and sleep for an hour before this.

The day dawned bright and clear but we were exhausted. I lay out a blanket to sleep in the warm grass. I find ironic I could sleep in the park during the day but not at night. Anyways, our daughters went to explore the tidal flats while Wanda and I slept. Not long after Fanny woke me. In her hands was a 2 litre bottle of soda pop, called Spritz Up. She found it laying on the mussel bed after the tide left. It was cold from being in the Atlantic ocean. The funny thing is that by the next tide it would have been gone or someone else would have take it. God’s perfect timing and goodness kept it there for her to find.

We had not eaten for several days and the sleepless night was brutal. Here God gave us a sugary pick me up to get us going again. His goodness was overflowing.

I think many look for God’s goodness in the the ethereal, or large, or in others but miss the tender kiss of His goodness in the ordinary every day parts of life. That is a tragedy for God is very personal. He longs for a passionate relationship with His own. When we see His goodness in the small, common, humble aspects of life we honor His humility and goodness. May we all learn to focus on what He is doing around us more than what we want Him to do or would like Him to do. There is more blessing when we do so.

    1. That is truly an amazing testimony of Gods Goodness! I am completely humbled and honored to receive all of these comments of wisdom and truth from you! That lesson you share is something I tend to overlook much throughout my days, which I guess at times we all do but it’s a lesson that I hope to pay more attention to in the days to come. It’s so easy to only see God in the big parts of our lives but in those little, seemingly insignificant blessings there is such an amazing picture of Gods goodness, His love and mercy towards us. I am continuing to be in awe of your experiences and testimony and am extremely excited to continue learning more of what God has taken you and your family through. It’s obvious from hearing the wisdom and heart in your words that God has used those moments to teach you so much and it’s such a huge blessing for me to be on the receiving end of what God has taught you over the years. I am honored and so so appreciative of you and your heart to reach out and share this truth with me!
